A standard setter for the remaining movies to be release for the rest of the year, and class apart. A movie for theatre goers fed on Tagore's plays, like I. Exceptionally civilised, and sophisticated city of Kolkata, where computer savvied people in institutions like Datamatics Centre can coexist with tea served in glasses, that haven't been upstaged by the so-called modernity of styrofoam, and obsene plastic cups. On a shoestring budges, and 4 sarees, Vidya is a class apart! Brilliant! Even children should watch to wean themselves away from the mindless entertainment program. Entirely believable story, with not a single lose thread, and flawless execution, by entire cast, right upto Dhrittiman, Saswata, 'Khan', Rana, and the ENTIRE TOLLYWOOD cast. A very wholesome movie, that did not dilute the story with songs and other formula ingredients that go into hindi movies. Watching this movie, like-minded movie watchers applauded in unison, and were held on the edge of their seats in strange camaraderie. A must watch!
