Just yesterday, I really appreciated suresh for writing such a beautiful review on its music. But I guess, the songs of this film are not that worth it , after all. I was quite shocked to hear 3 songs from the film as a direct lift off from english songs. When I heard the songs, I really could not believe that the english songs were the original.
These three songs are lift offs from english numbers.
Nenjodu Kalandhidu, Manasu rendum , Kaadhal Mattum Purivadhillai
I have known IR to be inspired from many classical western compositions, but then they always tend to be inspirations, not blatant copies. But here, the new generation of MD from ARR to Yuvan Raja, tend to liberally copy from other's creations. Not to mention Mr.Deva. In this like, I am not even considering idiots named SA Rajkumar and Sirpi, who at the most know to substitute sound tracks with Tamil words.
ARR uses a lot of free loops and beats, which are quite acceptable, though not desirable. But why on earth, are MDs not bothered about arranging live orchestras?
My God, is there such a lack of music in our country or is it the lack of music creators ?
To get inspired and to lift off are two different things altogether.
