Hmmm....

Writing a reveiw after a long time.

Kabul express - in short " a good one time watch movie"

To expand it looks more like a documentary movie than a commercial movie.

The depiction of the wartorn Afghan world is depicted in a subtle pictorial way and

through some nice cues.

one scene really touching was that " John was doing his morning push ups and a young boy is watching him. John invites him over and the kid gets up and is limping towards John in his crutches; with a smile." The scene had message (may be my words are not showing, so watch the movie).

The location has been captured wonderfully and has been shot very well.

Arshard warsi has done total justice to his role. With a poker face look the delivery of the situational one liners has been excellent. His misery for cigarrette was what I liked most, it was good!!!

The director kabir has done a good job with Arshad's role, using it to make the otherwise dull storyline more interesting and not boring. Ofcourse John was not all required in the movie, any one could have done that role; I strongly believe so.

The role play by the pakistani and Afghan actors were really good and their did justice to the entire movie. Their arguements were meaning full and yet witty.

But there is some thing missing/confusing in the movie.

Missing in terms of what certain people are doing in the movie.

What is John abraham doing in the movie?

What is the american artist (reuters reporter-forgot the name) doing in the movie?

Confusing in terms of what is the message of the movie?

Is it the pain inflicted on the Afghan natives by so called terrorists?

Is it the loyalty of a Pakistani Commander who was doing his duty?

Is it the sufferings and personal losses suffered by the Pak Commander due his commitment to duty?

Is it the story of some reporters trying to get a break of their life time with a different story?

Lot of things are tried; attempt is good. But clarity could have been made and narrowed down on to something more specific

These are some doubts which came in when I walked out of the movie!!

I did enjoy the movie, If you miss it its ok, I would suggest you could see it once

Its defnitely not a waste of money or time!
