Fantastic!. Review on Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna Songs

Kabhi Alvida na Kehna's album was eagerly awaited, and regardless of what everyone says, I love it... definitely worth the wait! Overall, the songs are all uniformly good, but the album lacks originality- the songs are kind of similar to the ones in KHNH- another album of SEL.... But regardless of that, the album is very impressive. Song by song analysis-

Kabhi Alvida na Kehna- Slow, very melodious, wth a sad note, this song is one of the highlights of the album. It has the same essence as the KHNH title song... it's almost similiar... It is already a big hit, and I'm sure the tune will last in the mind of viewers for a long time.

Mitwa- Undoubtedly the best song in the album! I love it :D..... Sweet to the ears, melodious, kind of slow, and it just makes you feel so good! It has a lot of classical Indian music touches to it, which only makes it better. I have listened to it loads of times, and I haven't got bored of it. Fantastic!

Tumhi dekho na- Soft and melodious, one of the better songs in the album. I liked it, and I'm sure it will be liked by everyone uniformly. It isn't pathbreaking, but it's wonderfully melodious and beautiful to listen to.

Rock 'n' Roll Soniye- Indian and western music mixed, similiar to Mahive from KHNH. It's peppy, fun, and definitely a feel-good song. In the movie, it's absolutely spectacular, what with Big B and junior B dancing next to each other! The song makes you smile :D

Where's the party tonight?- This song sounds incredibly like 'It's the time to disco' from KHNH. Everything seems familiar, but it's okay. Very peppy, and it can be seen that a lot of thought has gone into it, and despite being a typical party number, it has hints of Indian classical music. Superb.

Mitwa revisited- This is a variation of 'Mitwa'. It has less of classical music, and it sounds almost just as good as 'Mitwa'. I don't understand the need for a variation- maybe some people would prefer this to Mitwa.

Farewell trance- This is basically instrumentals, based on the title song, and is melodious to the ears. It is more western than the title song too.

Overall, the album of KANK is very impressive, and the excellence of SEL stands out- but they should try not to make their work sound repetitive. I'm expecting a different type of album next time from you, SEL. Shankar Mahadevan has lent his brilliance to the album, and there's more to it than what meets the eye. Wonderful.
