I approached Kaamwaibai.com on 5th November 2021 (to be precise) to get a babysitter for my 4yr old daughter urgently and they promised they will provide a maid to me within 24-48hrs and if not, they will refund the money, conversation screenshots are attached.
They asked me to pay 50% of the money in advance and 50% remaining when the babysitter joins. So I paid Rs. 7080 as advance to them.
However, they did not send me any profile, leave aside a helper, till 8th Nov. I asked them for a refund since they failed their promise and they said they had some holiday so they will send someone asap for interview.
In haste, they sent some random lady with her husband for interview who agreed for the job and said will come the next day.
The next day, her husband called saying she has taken the vaccination and will not be coming for the next 2 days. I again contacted Kaamwalibai.com and asked them thats why are they sending unvaccinated people and they refused to take any action or provide me with any other babysitter since this was an urgent request.
The babysitter finally arrived on 13th Nov (which is already 8 days later and no complaint addressal or refund for our money).
On the very day, kaamwalibai.com representative Anshu started pestering me for the remaining 7k Rs. I told them that I will transfer the money once the helper is working with us for atleast 2-3 days and so that we can evaluate her. Seeing their help and delays so far, I had really lost my trust in them and did not want to bet any more money on them.
They called me entire day and then I told them I will transfer the money to them by Tuesday (we were already on Saturday the 13 Nov). The next day the maid’s husband called me and said that they have an emergency back in their hometown and so she will not be coming for another 15-20 days.
Since it was a Sunday, I did not get any response from Kaamwalibai.com and I was again left without any helper. I work for a corporate along with being a full time mother, hence it was really getting difficult for me day by day.
I really thanked my stars for not paying the remaining 7k to them on Saturday and I told them I don't want any more helpers/profiles from you and only my refund. They declined that and said we will send more profiles matching my requirements and I knew my money and time was gone.
I waited till 22nd Nov post which I hired a local helper. They were not willing to refund my money saying that we are ready to provide you helper, but of course, it can take until years also till your child is a full-grown adult.
