After checking out a few hotels in Jammu we decided to go with this place as in the picture the rooms looked neat and tidy.
When we arrived the reception greeted and since we had pre booked it from a site online they had issues hunting for our booking even though we had a printed confirmation they still needed to verify with the partner, we ended up sitting in the lobby while they verify but then they just could not reach through them and we asked for a solution.
They told us that we can move in and they will try contacting the online partner, once they get the confirmation then all good else we will need to call the partner ourselves and sort the issue. A good one hour later we filled in details gave our id cards to be photocopied and they old us it will be sent to our rooms not wanting to leave an important document with them we waited 15 minutes for them to photocopy and finally went upto our rooms.
The bell boy was very clumsy with our luggage and equipment about three times banged it against a corner, and finally when in the room stood there looking at us till we decided to tip him when we should not have.
The rooms were as advertised neat and clean as well as comfortable.
We ordered dinner form the inhouse restaurant which after some confusion reached us 40 mins later, What can make up for delays with your food? well make the food good and the delay will be forgiven, thats just what the folks did. Lip smacking dinner to end our tiring day of flying.
We checked out the next day and were told that they received confirmation. We cleared our food bills and left for the airport. As well passed through security checks and finally checked our luggage in for our flight to srinagar, the hotel called up asking us to come to the hotel as we forgot to clear our bill which included two coffees and a bottle of water amounting to rs 120.
I informed them that I am in the airport in the waiting area, but they were just concerned of the 120 bucks. I apologized and told them that they should have checked things while preparing the bills.
I then asked them to send me their banking details so I can transfer the money and they asked when will I transfer how soon.
We anyways sent out the transfer the next day, but will not wish to stay again there just due to the staff.
