Just Avoid. Review on Just Chinese Restaurant, Bandra, Mumbai

One evening when me and my fiancée were sitting and discussing, we got a call from one of our friend and he invited us for dinner, well the friend who called was very dear to us and I was not able to say no to him, though my fiancée was not feeling well.

When we met we decided to go to one newly opened restaurant but due to some problems we decided to go to Just Chinese which is located at Pali Naka, Bandra.

We got there almost unwillingly; there was no wait for tables, the ambience was fine, but not that catchy. Well the place was not at all crowded except two guys sitting next two our table. And few people sitting out and smoking the Sheesha Pipe. (Well they do serve the Sheesha Pipe outside the restaurant and at the entrance.)

Ok finally we decided our order we called for waiter and waited the waiter came after 15 minutes.

The menu looked promising. We asked him to get some Mocktails. We were 4 of us and instead of getting all the mocktails together he brought it one by one keeping 10 minutes gap in all the drinks. The mocktails were really very bad…

We ordered for some starters and looking at the amount of time he had taken to get the mocktails we decided to place an order for the main course along with the starters. We ordered for one Vegetarian starter (it was some Paneer item) for my fiancée and rest Non-Vegetarian starters (Prawns and Chicken.) After almost 30 minutes he brought the Non-Vegetarian starters and for the Veg he took 30 minutes more till that we had finished having our starters.

We were now waiting for the Main course. We waited, and waited, A—N—D waited and the main course was served after 30 to 40 minutes, though we had placed the order along with the starters.

The food served was disappointing, with very less quantity, the food was terrible spicy though we had specially instructed him to make it less spicy. We had to call the waiter several times during our meal for water. I was not very impressed by my meal neither my friends, it didn't taste that great. Though it was “Just Chinese”, it hardly tasted like Chinese food.

After finishing the food we asked him for the bill. But man god knows why he took almost 20 minutes to get the bill; those two guys sitting next to us were also waiting for the bill from a long time and were discussing how bad the food and service was.

On our way out, the manager stopped us and asked how the food and service was; and we were like man you guys need to improve a lot in food as well as service.

The heartburn started to hit both of us, which I rarely get. I reached home and brushed my teeth just to get out the aftertaste, but I still had that heartburning and spicy taste till next morning. Even my fiancée complained the same and she felt sicker after having the food.

In my friends circle those who have been to Just Chinese, have nothing good to say about it. After my own experience and hearing from my friends I was convinced that Just Chinese is a place which I will surely avoid in future.
