Yes you are reading right, I am using Johnsons baby powder to set my makeup or bake my face. As quirky as it sounds it works pretty well. I got this idea from some youtubers they have tried it and swear by it that it works just like any of their high end setting powders.
Yeah it is kind of for babies but we adults too can use it to set makeup. We can save a lot of money as this is very cheap and we can get it in any departmental stores.
Johnsons baby powder:
Product quality:
When I was small my mother used to use this for me. The product have not changed since then as I remember. It is still very mild fine powder which would never hurt a babys body. So it can be best used as a setting powder as it is translucent and finely mild.
How to use?
Most of the people reading this must be wondering how to use a talc containg powder as setting powder on face, for them I must say every setting powder has talc in it so that will not be a major issue here.
Use can pour the powder directly on your hand and then pick it with your sponge or just store in a jar with which you can just dip the sponge in. After doing that you just have to use it just like any other setting powder you will use.
Flashback:
As it contain talc you must think that it might give you some flashback in photographs, but I assure you I have tried taking photo with it with a flashlight it did not gave me flashback.
Does it give you a white cast?
As I said before it is a translucent powder so it won't leave a white cast on face for any reason. This was the main concern of mine as no one wants to look gastly after setting there face.
Smell:
It smells wonderful, and as it is for children the smell is mild. If you think that your face is going to smell like a baby bump no worries the smell goes of after some time. But you have to admit it, it smells wonderful. I always liked baby powders and loved there smell too.
It is safe?
Well, it is made for babies so it is meant to be safe for babies so it must be safe for oue skin too.
It is so mild and makes so soft after applying it. You will feel like your skin has never been this perfect before. I loved it and anyone who does use this will love it too I am sure of that.
Price:
I was so happy when I came to know that baby powder can be used as setting powder that I just jumped to this opportunity and considering the price too. I was so happy it worked that I don't have throw hundreds for just a jar of powder.
For 100g it costs just 55/-, can you believe it. It can also last you for months so no doubt there.
