The way to a person's heart is through his stomach. Drawing inspiration from this very old belief and also from the fact that everyone wants to be a good cook, SAB TV presents a fun light hearted cookery show, titled Jo Biwi Se Kare Pyaar(Mon-Fri 7.30pm).
The title of the show might sound like story of a loyal husband who is extremely devoted to his wife, just like the saas-bahu saga types. But, on contrary to this it is a story that reflects the lives of a new age couple, Aditya(Arjun Bijlani) and Suhani Khanna (Shweta Gulati), who despite of leading hectic and demanding work lives try to find interesting and unique ways to spend time with each other.
The concept on which the show is based, begins from the day when Aditya plans to do something special for his wife and he surprises her by cooking an exceptional meal using Prestige's smart kitchen appliances. Impressed by his gesture, the two take a vow that they two will cook their daily dinner together from now onwards.
As this lovely couple enjoys their cooking, the show offers its viewers with a perfect opportunity to learn new, fun and easy recipes that the families can enjoy together.
At times, Aditya's brother(Rakesh Paul), his sister-in-law (Gungun Uprari) and his boss(Amit Behl) join in during festivals, thereby giving Aditya and Suhani a chance to impress them with their culinary skills, all inspired by Prestige.
Produced by Deepti Bhatnagar Productions, SAB TV brings yet another interesting concept whose execution has the potential to draw all genres of audiences. The older lot would be very much interested in the recipes, the younger lot would be engaged with the romance(shared by Aditya and Suhani) as well as the youngsters with a soft corner for cooking can gain knowledge about different variety of dishes.
FEW PROS-:
•The show puts forward a bit of romance, a loving pair, a very gracefully furnished kitchen and the most entertaining way to introduce mouthwatering recipies.
•It helps a lot of housewives and keen youngsters with its constant showcase of different variety of cuisines and recipes.
•There is something new to be learnt everyday, without wasting a k of time.
•Isn't much addictive. Few shows can be missed without any harm.
•Fans of Arjun Bijlani and Shweta Gulati can finally breath a sigh of relief as the two are seen on TV screens everyday after a long time.
FEW CONS-:
•Too much promotion of the Prestige brand in the show.
•Proper measurements of the ingredients used in the dishes are not shown during the episodes which might make it tough for people who are new to cooking.
CONCLUSION-:
Overall, Jo Biwi Se Kare Pyaar can be a good watch for people who are bored with the saas-bahu sagas. The show, apart from giving us a daily new recipe also gives us a silent message that working with your partner in the homely environment, be it cooking or anything else always helps us strengthen our bond.
A thumbs up to this show.
Happy viewing!
