Sharing my worst experience so it HELPS others of the Jio Fiber scam.
I was in time for switching ISP and registered interest in Jio Fiber app. Area manager Jeeva was pushing sales boys to call me every hour to close the sale for their incentive, this is the first alarm sign that I ignored. Sales boys will then turn up to your property (2 to 3 people as a group) to get documents and will make all false promises to get the money transfer then and there. They will even make you fall for the 3, 6, 12 month contract to pay in advance but DONT.
This was the second alarm sign, I didn't give in. Third time after the assurance from manager Jeeva I got into the trap and paid 2500 for the trial offer with promise of full refund and one extra month free(another false promise) you can only fall for the OTT and 400 channels they offer BUT DON'T as it is not going to be reliable service.
Once payment is done, AS EXPECTED no one will pick up the phone. You need to have installation first to enjoy the service but it won't happen that easily. Once money is paid all will disappear and sales boys are happy they got their incentives. You will be given a time slot of 2 hrs but no one will come to install.
Calling Jio call center is a pain and they have no idea of the sales team or installation team logs. They will read a statement and timescales already given to us and will keep moving our slot to afternoon to evening, every time when you call the center. NOW finally when they call for installation you have to deal with rude, unprofessional engineers who are not informed of anything from the sales team.
They will say please cancel the installation if you wish. They won't make an effort for installation as it is the happy day if customers cancel. It is time off for them as they are not on incentives but salaried so they are not bothered. After all the hassle you finally realise it is so bad service and you now know what you will be dealing with so if you request to cancel you won't get your money back until 21 days.
That's the FINAL Trap. All sales teams will stop taking calls and block your number. Now you have to ring customer service 10 times to chase the installation team or to get your money back. Another big promise is they will tie you into a referral scheme promising you an extra month of free service but again it is for their sale incentives.
This is a scam.
Sales to installation to customer service all are so pathetic.
1. Think before you pay.
2. Trial offer is the Trap - you won't get money back don't fall for it.
3. Never give the installation job completion OTP until all is working and you are satisfied(which you won't) you will see two faces of the installation team once the ticket is closed.
4. Think twice before giving referral code to sales team for free month as they misuse Jio referral services for their incentives which is a scam.
FINALLY, BEWARE OF TRYING JIO FIBER !!!!
