'Jhootha Hi Sahi'- A decent one-time watch if you are tired of work and do not really want to put your brains in understanding a movie. You can go and enjoy a few light-hearted moments munching on your popcorn.

Plot:

Sidharth(John Abraham) who runs an Indian Book Store in London, is not too jolly about his life and on the verge of a break-up with his girlfriend but his life takes a new turn when he accidently has his number published instead of an NGO's who help suicide-attempting distressed Indians in London.  Although, initially perturbed by the calls, he finally decides to help explain the dejected ones the importance of life and that suicide is not a solution to their trauma. One night he gets a call from a lady, Mishka(Pakhi) who is in a simlar situation and starts talking to her in an attempt to calm her down. This friendship slowly matures into a love affair when he meets the Lady(Mishka) as Sidharth(A guy who is supposedly different from the one talking to her over phone). But he abstains himself from revealing his true identity to Mishka for the fear of loosing her and what follows is a heart-warming, fun-filled story of friendship, love, jealousy, break-ups and make-ups.

My Two Cents:

The movie oscillates to being mediocre at times to getting magnificent at others and just passable at some other. The story is undoubtly the weak link. At times, it seems that the director has lost grip of the plot. Some aspects(I would not say what) are just inexplicable and look utterly silly and so do some dialogues. However, John and Raghu save the day for the audience. I must say the chemistry between John and Raghu looks better than the chemistry between John and Pakhi. They successfully make the audience laugh with some superb dialogue delivery which makes the movie a decent watch if not

outstanding.

Performances:

John looks good and does justice to his character.I had loved Pakhi portraying Stella in'Yeh kya ho raha hai' but this time she does not impress much. Somehow she does not fit into the character. Raghuram is magnificent with superb comic timing and dialogue delivery(might be a biased opinion:). Alishka Varde as Raghu's sister is also good.

Music:

What has happened to A R Rahman! This is one of his worst performances in recent times. Some songs are utterly disgusting. But I liked'Do Nishaniyaan' and must add that Sonu Nigam still has that midas touch in him.

Rating:

I would go for 2.5/5 for'Jhootha Hi Sahi' for John, Raghu and their chemistry.

Cheers-
