I had the misfortune of booking a flight for my mother on her Jet Privilege JP No: 200332016, today 12th May 2018. My mother has Balance JPMiles: 9447 after traveling to Europe and a few other destinations(domestic). Jet Airways is obviously not honoring these miles and allowing customers to redeem them.
After I signed in from her Jet Privilege account, to book tickets to Mumbai, for the 29th of May, for the 11; 30 am flight from Delhi to Mumbai(one only needs 8500 Jet Miles, and my mother has a lot more than this threshold), the Website was not processing the transaction, because Jet Airways does not let customer redeem their miles. Despite repeated efforts, it was not allowing me to book the flight. It stopped letting the keyboard typing function operate.
I initially was wondering how my keyboard stopped functioning suddenly, but then realized, that the booking Page has a software that disables the keyboard when Frequent Fliers have to use their miles to make bookings. I tried Debit Card as well as Net Banking to try and figure out whether the issue was my end. In the process, I discovered the bluff of Jet Airways scam.
After spending over an hour or longer on booking, they were unable to process the payment through my Bank Debit Card, despite repeated attempts. I even called customer care and finally attempted to make the Booking through the Customer Care Executive, but when she came to know that we had miles to redeem, she Pretended Not to be Able to Hear Us. The acting was so poor and shameful, that we were embarrassed. After talking to people and reading reviews, it appears that Jet Airways' Jet Privilege is a big scam, and many innocent travelers seem to have been duped. I am left wondering whether we should stop using Jet Airways and rather move to Vistara or other reliable and transparent Airlines.
The Jet Privileges Miles are a SCAM and Jet Airways does NOT want customers to redeem their miles, regardless of how many miles or how many times you use Jet Airways.
