Did Son Killed his Dad ?. Review on Jersey

I have felt sad about this movie. I have only started to watch this movie because of Shahid Kapoor. He has given the new conceptual story-based movies every time. But, this time, he failed my imagination in this. I have seen a lot of movies based on real-life or autobiographies of sportspeople. Everything is great about those movies. But this one, Jersey, is horrible. Even this movie got 7.1 out of 10 ratings. This happens only because of the songs, I guess. The song named "Maiyya Mainu" actually got many views as compared to the movie earning.

Story:-

The story is boring and an emotional freak story. The boring story starts with a normal person named Ketan Talwar, going to a store to buy a boo named "Jersey" written by Jasleen Shergill. Which comes in the bestsellers of the month. Ketan is the son of Arjun Talwar on which the entire movie is based on. Shahid Kapoor plays the role of Arjun Talwar and Mrunal Thakur is playing the role of his wife named Vidya Talwar.

A basic emotional freak story with a player who quit his cricket career because he didn't get selected for an Indian Team because of the bribe given to persons involved in the team. After that, lost his job because of a criminal record of taking bribes from the team. While I'm writing these sentences, I too get confused and bored that what the hell this story is!

Then, Arjun faces a hell of amount of financial issues in his daily life. Just watching TV and smoking cigarettes all day. One day, some days before Ketan's birthday, he asks Arjun to gift him an Indian Jersey. And, Arjun couldn't. In a mess, he started playing cricket again at the age of 36. That is even more miserable. He played and before selection, he was admitted to the hospital and even the doctor warns him. Even his wife warns him to choose between family and cricket. Arjun chooses Family.

After that, for some days he spends his time at home and asks his son about what he suppose to do. His son replied with yes, play dad. And, he went for selection and win Ranji Trophy. After that, after 2 days, he passed away. Jasleen was a girlfriend of Arjun's one of his teammates.

In his felicitation ceremony, Arjun's doctor finally spoke to Ketan that 10 years ago, Arjun had known that he has a heart disease named Arrhythmia. Then he listen to his kid's sentence and played by risking his life. At last, it is also revealed that Arjun was selected for Indian Team and his Indian Jersey was given to his son Ketan Talwar. Finally, a son received his jersey by losing his dad.

Acting:-

Everyone is overly reacted in their roles. But, Shahid's acting was different from everyone's. He was playing a typical Punjabi man. So his accent and behavior were literally by seeing it has been clear that he work on his role. But, eventually, films don't work or hit at only one's acting skills.

Somehow, there has been seen over-acting in every's role like Mrunal Thakur. She is a South Indian Girl who is married to a Punjabi man. And, after that, living a miserable life.

In a conclusion, this movie is only a one-time watch. Apart, from the songs, this movie is waste of time. As I said earlier, only one song, I liked and also gives me a vibe on my everyday morning walk is this song named, "Maiyya Mainu". Also, it has been seen because the movie KGF 2, Jersey didn't get so many viewers and also earned less. Why I am telling this because Jersey's promotion and trailer boomed for the past many months and hence released on the same date as KGF 2. So, the earnings have to be the lowest.
