Jeepers, creepers, where'd ya get those peepers,
jeepers, creepers, where'd ya get those eyes?
Gosh all, git up, how'd they get so lit up,
gosh all, git up, how'd they get that size?
Golly gee! When you turn those heaters on
woe is me, got to put my cheaters on.
Don't worry, this is only an old song and it is sung in the movie too. I still wonder how this movie got this name, but it is such a ridiculous name for a horror movie. This song is even sung in this movie. What may be the relation? I still fail to understand this.
Confusing the viewers seems to be a good idea for creating hits, is it? Anyways, this movie wasn't that much good that people wait to see this one and think about its meaning especially as an equally confusing movie is released ie the second part of this so called horror movie.
This is the one horror movie that the fellow sitting in the video shop put into my hands. I wonder what made me accept this. May be the cover of the CD. It was really a well-made cover - but what is inside? It is better not to ask! See it by yourself.....
THE PLOT
Darry (Justin Long) and Trish (Gina Philips) are travelling in a car. Suddenly, there comes a truck just misses them by a whisker. Later they finds the truck parked on the side of a church and it seemed like the driver is dumping a body down a pipe (This guy looks simliar to the Undertaker in that stupidic hat and cutomes - why don't he try some job in WWE?).
As curiousity is to kill the cat, especially in horror movies, they stop to find out what the driver dumped. They find dead bodies in the pipe and as they tries to disappear from there in their car, the monster truck is after them.
It is in the later part of the movie that we see that the person who is on the hunt is not all some maniac, serial killer or a murderer, but really a monster, a highly creepy one who got no effect after being run down by a car or being shot by the guns! Then how to stop it? Why do we worry? Lets see them running and getting caught for a change.....
THE BOTTOM LINE
I have to agree to the fact that the movie was scary and all the crew has done a remarkable job. Justin Long and Gina Philips have done some good work as the youngsters and the ''creepy thing'' is good too. But with a confusing story line touching nowhere, if they are trying to make a good movie, they are wrong.
I wonder how they manage to lose the pace of the movie after building a brilliant one in the beginning. This had such a big hope of being a nice movie, but they destroyed them all in the middle just like a lots of other horror movies! Some exciting moments getting wasted.....
I think that what they should do is to cut those scary parts of the movie and put them in some floppies and sent! They are just too less! And the end of the movie is one of the worst I have ever seen. Here is another movie you can go for if you manage to run out of stock.
