The music is just outstanding proving the fact that Feroz Khan belongs to the top leagues of Directors like Raj Kapoor, Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai atleast for his ears. He does have a better sense of music!!
Music Directors:-Anand Raaj Anand has composed 4 tracks out of 8. The other contributions are made by Biddu, Mrinal Sampat - Channi Singh and Sukhwinder Singh.Puff!!
Lyricists:-Praveen Bhardawaj, Dev Kohli, Tejpal Kaur, Timon Singh, Nasir Kazmi and Ijaz Ahmad Ijaz
Music Rights:-T-Series
1) Pyar Hone Laga hai:-Sonu Nigam excels in this pick of the album showing that he has the caliber to sing songs at any pitch.
Alka, do I really need to say anything about this singer who is breaking all records only after Lata Mangeshkar.
The violin piece which is frequently used is the cherry on the cake. This song made by Anand Raj Anand will surely stick to your lips. Remind you he has started his career with movies like Pardesi Babu, Masoom, Major Sahab, Jis Desh mein Ganga rehta hai and then came Kaante which gave him a big jump. He never looked back and the proof is the soundtrack of Gunaah and indeed Janasheen.
Praveen Bharadwaj’s lyrics is above average. Overall a must checkout song for those who prefer romantic numbers. This is a perfect promo song with equally good picturization on the Australian beaches.
The song starts slowly with the following lines.
Chehra tumhara hai kitna pyara
Dekhe bina mera ho na guzara
Rab ne tumhein bhi kya khoob banaya
Meri nazar se khud ko dekho to yaara..
which is a typically Anu Malik style.
2) Deewana Hoon main Deewana Hoon:-Sonu Nigam again in a very different ishtyle, a naughty one rather with Jaspinder Narula and new comer Gauri Bapat. Gauri’s voice is very attractive melodious. Biddu recreats his magic with this song reminding us the good ol’ days of 80’s when his combination with Feroz Khan bagged him Filmfare for ’Aap jaisa koi-Qurbani’. Timon Singh’s lyrics suits the mood.
Jaise hawaa mein udtey hain ye panchhi
O mere hamnashin, ud jaayein hum kahin
Banaa le ghar hum aisi jagah par
Humein na ho kabhi kisi ka jahaan dar
O mere janeman, kehti hai ye lagan
Mil jaayegi hamein manzil apni ik din
Teri chaahat mein pagal hoon, deewani hoon main deewani hoon
Kahoon main kyaa karoon main kyaa, deewani hoon main deewani hoon
3) Ab ke baar poonam :-Gauri Bapat and Babul supriyo sound fresh but the track doesnt suit the overall collection. Anyways its hummable. Mrinal Sampat-Channi Singh starts the number in the same way Channi Singh did in Feroz Khan’s Yalgaar. The track reminds ’’Aakhir tumhein aana hai’’.
Ab ke baar poonam mein,
jab tu aayega milne
Hum ne soch rakha hai,
raat yun guzaarenge Dhadkane bichha denge
shokh tere qadmo pe Ham nigaah se teri aarti utaarenge
Ab ke baar poonam mein,
jab tu aayega milne
4) Ankhiyan- Mrinal Sampat-Channi Singh shows their punjabbi talent here. Very well sung by the Pitch Master Sukhwinder Singh. The beats are foottapping. This song starts with words ’’Khoobsurat’’ which is sequel to ’’Badi taaza khabar hai-Khoobsurat’’ by Abhijit. This songs will just grow on you. Ijaz Ahmad Ijaz pens beautifully to suit the voice of Sukhwinder.
5) Aaja Merey Yaara- a very catchy solo by Gauri Bapat. Gauri is a great pick among the new singers rushing in. Anand Raj Anand again with Dev Kohli who wrote all the songs for Hum Apke hain kaun. Dev kohli did a good job here. The songs is very well picturized too.
6) Marhaba -Very very inspired from the remix or call it the Sukhwinder Solo JAAN LEVA-Moksha. The beats are the same. The interesting part is that it the song has few angreji linewaa too in between making it more melodious like ’’Rabba mere Rabba’’ words did the magic to the song from Mujhe kuch kehna hai. Music is by Sukhwinder Singh himself dont open your eyes so wide coz he has given contributions in audio hits like Kurukshetra and Hindustan ki kasam . Muskan accompanies him very well in this number. The song is a bit loud but a very different from the usual Sukhwinder stuffs Ibrahim Ashq’s lyrics are impressive remind you he wrote the ’’Na tum jaano na hum-Kaho naa pyar hai’’ which was nominated too.
Marhabaa o marhabaa,
marhabaa marhabaa Ishq honton par,
ishq hai dil mein Ishq duniya ki har ek mehfil mein..
Marhabaa o marhabaa, marhabaa marhabaa
7)Ishq Fitrat Haiis the only number which disappoints. Maestro Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan performed well but the song is quite similar to sukhwinder numbers from the Ajay Devgan movie Deewane. Anand Raj Anand should’nt have left this one so loose. Dev Kohli’s lyrics are though above average but fails to lift this track.
Ishq fitrat hai meri,
dil tabaah aur sahi Tu nahin aur sahi,
gham ka ye daur sahi,
ik gunaah aur sahi Ishq fitrat hai meri,
dil tabaah aur sahi
8) Nashe Nashe mein Yaaris again a promo song or rather I should say its already a chart topper with the chubby Adnan Sami-Sunidhi Chauhan who recreate the magic of Mehbooba Mehbooba-Ajnabi. The song is a sequel by Anand Raaj Anand to his previous hit Ishq Samunder-Kaante.
Pyar ki aas nahaayee main logon
Bheega tan man mera
Ubhra nashe man tan se aise
Nasha nasha saa hua savera
Bas Nashe nashe mein yaar, lo khil gayee masti
Bas Nashe nashe mein yaar, lo khil gayee masti
Huee jo akhiyaan chaar, to mil gayee masti
Haan, nashe nashe mein yaar, lo khil gayee masti
Go for it its worth your money!!
