My iPhone 6s got dead yesterday and today I went to iService to get it repaired. After 30 minutes diagnosis, technical executive(Murrari) told me that they need to change Motherboard and it would cost me INR.6000. I agreed to get it fixed as I thought Motherboard would cost 6K. When he finished the repair, I asked to give the old part which was replaced and costed 6000/-. But then he started to tell me stories like he replaced only Wifi IC and this part is very minute so he thrown it and can't be shown to me. When I asked if it is only Wifi IC need to be replaced, why the phone was dead and then he told me that power goes via Wifi IC to other ICs related to display, volume, etc., due to that phone was dead. when I asked him to tell the IC number which was replaced, again he was trying to give me other logic that due to excess charging and water seepage this IC would have got damaged. Till the end he was not ready to provide the detail what was changed. And later he said they take the such small component from other gadget and fixed it my phone. He said such small component can't be ordered so they take it from other products and replace with others. God knows whose phone got removed with IC. Till the end he couldn't give convincing answer. Apart from this, they took the service charge in Cash mentioning that bill can't be generated due to Corona lockdown.
After I brought the phone to home, it is getting heated more than prior to getting service with iService.
It is my big mistake that I haven't reviewed this service center which I usually do for any service I take. Due to the lock down and this was the only iphone service center responded on sunday and mentioned that they are open I went ahead and finally got trapped.
Also, during my stay at the service center between 12 PM to 3.30 PM I saw other 2 cases which was also diagnosed as MLB issue and they were charged at 9000 and 11000. Finally when I was leaving a customer came to get replace the screen which they charged 3500/-. In 3.5 hrs(12 to 3.30 pm), they were minting the money of 29.5k INR(9+11+6+3.5). and all in cash format
It is my sincere request to all at any cost avoid this service center and better to visit to the authroized iphone service center, even though they might be bit expensive you'll have of peace of mind and assured with genuine products.
