I purchased a IRIVER E100 in Dec 2008 for 79 Euro(Avg INR price=79*65) in The Netherlands. Reason being-Cheaper than IPOD(touch or 120 GB what so ever).I am a regular mp3 music listerner with nothing much to demand from mp3 player except good reproducibilty.Pro's-Simple interface.-Wide Freq Spectrum coverage.-8 GB of size(compared to 1GB for 49 Euros from IPOD Shuffle)-Extra peice of application not needed for copying songs.-Simple to connnect(as good as pen drive).-Copy Paste mp3(nothing of encoding required)-External Speakers available(impressive for the device).-Radio(mirchi;).-I also use this as external hardisk or pendrive.
Cons-Tends to get sloppy in processing when playing music and surfing thru data or music files simultaneously(Affect seems to resolving after initial firmware upgrade and a format .good news hu).-Need separate headphones of real good quality to appreciate the output from this device. I have Senhissers PX100 to go along with(they cost aroung 45 Euros).-The shipped IRiver headphones s big time.U might get frustrated to buy this device at all at the first instant. So be prepared. To sum up-Its better than avg device to have(extra headphones needed .time n again).8GB, external spkrs, radio, intutive GUI, No external app needed to import music, Can be used as external hardisk.I wud say buy E100 only if you have these many needs to be fitted in a portable player and ur pocket;)
