Last night I dined at a really lovely place called “Indigo Deli”. This is a second outlet started by the well-known Rahul Akrekar of Indigo located in Colaba, Mumbai.
Although we skipped the drinks, there seemed to be some nice
mocktails/slush we hope to try the next time. The steward ensured a
very personalised service and I was impressed at the interest he showed
in discussing the food items with great details telling us exactly what
it will comprise of and also alert us on the servings so that we didn’t
over or under order our dinner.
What did we eat?
The thin crust pizza with sun-dried tomatoes and olives. Now the
definition of a thin crust is very different from the ones you usually
will get at Dominos or even the five-star outlets. Try it.
The other item was the three mushroom farfalle. A tasty browned
pasta cooked in wine. As a side dish the garlic potatoes with the
freshly grinded mustard sauce made a great combination.
They have a very well stocked wine cellar so it’s worth taking a
look at their wine list. And if there is a particular label you are
looking for, feel free to ask for it - they might just have it.
Service Factor
Impressive, personalized and was prompt.
Ambience
Classy and casual at the same time. Although it’s built rich the seating is very cafe style so you can be very comfortable.
