Today’s ouster of Meenal Jain was a real shocker. Am really upset for two reasons. One the voting pattern and second does talent really counts? Being extremely talented, it’s just unbelievable that she was voted out. She had everything to be an Indian Idol. A voice that’s really great, a beautiful face and an extremely beautiful smile. On what basis is India really voting? Is India really voting? Who has these answers? It’s very difficult to believe that such good talents are being taken away. In today’s episode it was indeed shocking to see these three (Meenal, Antra and Karunya) talented singers, who had everything in them to be the Indian idol, in the bottom three stage.

I think the show needs to get a bit realistic by telling the viewers the actual number of votes received by each candidate from each zones (North, East, West, South). By merely proclaiming that they got the least number of votes doesn’t seem to digest. Especially after watching the Sa Re Ga Ma contest held recently where the number of votes was announced zone wise. Anyways that’s a different ball game altogether, I guess. But it’s sad to see good singers go away like this.

But it’s a great show and truly gives talented singers a platform to showcase their talents to the whole world. My three favourites were Meenal, Amey and Karunya. God now that meenal is out, I wish India votes sensibly. Best wishes to all the contestants. And the last, but not the least, our neighbourhood is in state of gloom as Meenal stays in our neighbourhood and we lost an Indian idol amongst ourselves. But don't worry, you are always a star for us. Cheers. There's a long way of success lying ahead for you. All the best.
