Here comes a movie, that most likely is worthy of being called a genre of itself! A fantasy, that seems so real, that one can hardly refrain from actually believing that such a phenomena is most probably a genuine possibility. Such is the class and enigma of the Filmmaker called Nolan, Christopher Nolan!
Plot -
In a world where "Shared Dreaming" is a possibilty, Dom Cobb is the most skilled extractor, someone who is skilled @ stealing secrets from a human mind with this technology! When Cobb is offered an undeniable offer by a Company,he hires a team of skilled workers for the next level of the technology, called Inception,he is confronted with a weakness of his that he and only the "architect" aka the creator of the Dreams is aware of. Will Cobb be able to saviour himself and the others from being trapped? Will Inception be the solution to all his problems? And most importantly, What is inception?Watch this amazing flick and find out(Sorry, but the plot is in so many ways "Complicated" that to explain the plot without giving away something is way tough for me! :))
Why "Inception"? Why this movie? Is what I try to think before going for a movie in theatre and probably the case with most of us, that aren’t the biggest movie-goers, and would like to see something that blows our expectations out of proportions! This one is another such movie, that in spite of being so overly complicated, keeps you glued and wanting for more, every minute of the run-time!
I am using the word complicatedand not confusing, because there are movies that are confusing, and there are the complicated ones! This is complicated because, we sure know the Questions that we want answers for! And we sure get e’m, at the end of the movie, but the questions are far and wide, and the answers are awe-striking! And it leaves us completely satisfied with the Answers we get!
Performances –
Leonardo Di Caprioas “Dom Cobb” was brilliant, the best man I would say for the role! Gordon Joseph Levitt(500 days of summer fame), as Arthur, was good. Ellen Page,as the young and exciting architect Ariadne, was cute and charming! Tom Hardyas Eames, Ken Watanabeas Saito, and Dileep Raoas the scared and funny Sedation-specialist, Yusuf Clicked too!
Some brilliant cinematic shots, like the experimental changes by Ariadne, the spine chilling jump by Mal(Cobb’s wife), the throttled realization of the truth by Ariadne, Keeps you amazed all along!
Some Scenes worth mentioning -
The Fight sequence between Arthur and security in mid-air! Amazingly shot!
The scene were Cobb explains the concept of Shared Dreaming to Ariadne. (Here is when all eyes start to pop with excitement, and amazement!)
The scene where Cobb confronts Ariadne, the architect of his dilemma, and about his previous attempt @ Inception!
The various amazing and well thought comic scenes planted in between, the one with the kiss, the other one with the Airplane purchase, amazing!
The ending, ahh the ending, pure genius! I could relate this ending to that of Shawshank Redemption in brilliance, rather it was even better, as the entire suspense, and questions were re-initiated in just two-seconds!
Overall –
If you want to experience the power of perception and some extremely vivid and dedicated film-making, watch Inception!
Statutory warning – It might just literally Blow Your Mind!
