...Terribly Pathetic. Review on Impact of Music Videos on the national psyche

Hmm I don't remember when was the last time I've watched a movie or television with my family without feeling awkward.

Courtesy: The sleazy music videos on the television and the not so sweetly dressed actresses in the movies.

Firstly the remix music videos.They really irritate the hell out of me.Now don't get me wrong.I don't hate these videos.I love listening to them.ONLY'listening to them'.

They are certainly a feast to my ears and a punishment to my eyes.All these sleazy remix videos have got only one thing in common - Models dressed very skimpily(Gurls obviously).If asked why the picturization is so yuck, you will obviously get an answer that if the videos are not made in that way then no one will watch them which will result in the flop of the video.Do you remember Shaan's remixed version of Roop tera mastana? Wasn't it a great song and a cool video.

The video was a hit and neat too because they didn't depend on the picturization of the video.Some might counter saying that it was many years ago.Yes I do agree it was many years ago but aren't we the same people with the same moral and ethical values even after so many years?.Now few nosy people might stilll ask what moral and ethical values got to do with dressing.Loads I say.A person is judged by the clothes he or she wears.Clothes definitely speak volumes about a persons nature and character.Don't you think so?Well I definitely do.

Secondly movies.Gosh the actresses in the movies now-a-days make me feel ashamed.I mean I still don't get it why a person should shed their clothes to get noticed.If they are so talented then they should let their potential speak for them not their skin.Actresses like Rani, Kajol, Priety etc. look glamorous even without exposing.Whereas actresses like Lara, Celina, Mallika, etc. are far away from being termed anything, leave alone glamorous.How a person dresses outside is completely their wish.But their dressing sense on the screen should be decent as it is we who bear them.

Just think about the impact which these videos and movies can have on the small kids.At such a tender age children get influenced by everything they see.Are they a great influence for them? Certainly we don't want our future generation to get spoilt do we?

People should set trends by their dresses or videos not just blindly follow one person's sleazy flick like a flock of sheep. Even a fully covered person can look senseous and glamorous.
