Here are the best 5 songs from voice of Ilayaraja which I like the most. frankly saying, its very hard to choose only 5 best songs among his innumerous songs. all are fine, having uniqueness. anyhow. i'm giving my best 5. it's a tough job.
Nan thedum sevvanthi poovithu from movie Dharmapathini. What a song, what a humming in the starting of the song. no one can do such a fantastic humming. unbeatable.
thendral vanthu theendum pothu from avatharm. this movie was performed and directed by Nasser. Commercially this movie was a flop, but got good reviews for acting, and music. Ilayaraja sir sung this with S. Janaki. An unbeatable melody in Tamil musical history and also ilayaraja's product.
Engey sellum intha pathai from sethu. when I hear the song, I feel like being sad. from this song I realized that ilayaraja's song can make one cry, weep and make enjoy also. his songs have such a uniqueness.
kathal kasakuthaya fromaan pavam. its a fantastic humor movie by Pandiarajan. a fantastic enjoyable song.
kathal oviyum from alaigal oivathillai.a fantastc romantic song from ilayaraja. he did it along with s.janaki. a fantastic one but its a bit old.
