I had Maruti Zen insured with Iffco Tokio for 13 years. I never had to make any claim. Every year, few days before expiry date, I would start getting reminder calls from Iffco Tokio and I would renew policy online a day before the expiry date. No problem there!
Now I have Honda Brio, for which I was issued insurance policy, free of cost, by the Honda showroom. But I was not satisfied with the insurance company, whose policy I was given. I found its premium to be too high and had decided to go for the old Iffco Tokio, when it is time to renew.
I had thought, it would be easy to buy new policy of Iffco Tokio online. But I had few questions before I finally purchase it. I tried to find quote online, filled up my details and every time their site would say, that they are going to call me back soon. I even received sms saying so but to my surprise nobody called.
Then once I called them up and asked if they were not interested in having new customers. The chap was polite, apologized, helped me a little with the quote and still assured that for a better quote, their sales department will definitely call me as he is passing my case to them.
Again no call from them. And then, I didn't even want to hear from them. If this is their attitude and service with a potential customer, I shudder to think what they are going to do in case of a claim. I don't want to experience that either.
Now, I have insured my car with a new company. Let me see how my experience goes with them now.
