I am a customer of IFB products(Senorita Plus Washing Machine and Microwave oven) for the past 10 years and about to add IFB dishwasher to my kitchen. I am here to inform you about the pathetic after sales service and the rude behavior of your service technicians to my mother yesterday.


My washing machine(IFB SENORITA PLUS SERIAL NO:13543) is on 2 year A.M.C.after payment of Rs:3933/-on 13/11/2014.(ICR No:3763 Dated by TMR SYSTEMS, IFB Authorized service centre at Kollam, Kerala. I registered a complaint of not working machine on 23-02-15(ticket no:1100123359) and the service persons came on 26-02-2015 and they informed me that the entire body of the washing machine is defective and has to be replaced.


All the inner parts are working properly and the body has to be replaced and the expense is about Rs-3250/-and it is not covered under A.M.C. I was reluctant to spend such a sum on an old washing machine and enquired about the possibility of exchanging my machine with a new IFB model. Straight away they strongly discouraged me telling that you will get only  Rs-1000/- as exchange bonus and that will be a huge loss to me. They also made me assure that once the body is replaced it will be just like a new machine.


Believing their words I asked them to do the necessary repair. Then after 15(FIFTEEN) days they came yesterday(13-03-15)by 4.30 p.m and I was out of station with some official matters. My mother called me telling that they came with the  new body of the machine and I told to carry on and inform me when the work is complete. At 5.30 p.m my mother informed me that they are demanding a sum of more than 4000 rupees after completion of work. I told my mother to tell them that they promised to do the work for 3250/-.


My mother was very desperate and called me again and told me that those guys are furious and even demanding additional Rs:-250/-as auto charges. I told my mother who was about to cry by the arrogant nature of these persons to give the amount and to collect the receipt also. They gave the bill with ICR NO-399 of TMR SYSTEMS  but with a previous date(12-03-2015). When I came back to my flat by 7.30 P.M, my mother was in a pool of water which was leaked from the machine.


I immediately registered another complaint(no-1100176685 dt 13-03-15) and when I inspected the machine I felt cheated since it was only half of the body frame was replaced. My machine now has no under machine protective sheet as in the replaced body and the back body panel and the top panel continues to be the same rusted old one. Since there is no under protection every possibility that rats and cockroaches may enter the machine and can cause serious damage.


This is pure cheating of the customers by your service personnel and making money by fraud means. You just imagine that a customer who spent Rs-8000/-for 2 year A.M.C and the repair of the machine and still sitting desperate from 23-3-2015 till date without able to use it. I humbly  request you to look into this matter urgently and take necessary steps to prevent such activities which may badly affect your company reputation. I also humbly request you to give me assistance for exchanging this with a new IFB machine if possible.
