IFB washing machine as a product is good. But the problem is after sales service. I have been using this product for more than 5 yrs now. On 25th we heard a sound coming out from the machine which was. more than usual. So immediately lodged a compliant with customer care. After Dilly dallying for almost 3 days, a technician (Mr. Muxxxxx) came to my place (in Hyderabad). And without even checking it properly gave an estimate for around Rs. 8500/—. He gave many reasons like drum is broken, it has cracks, shock absorber has to be replaced, brackets have to be replaced etc & said he has to take the drum to their service centre for repair and was prompt in collecting service charges of 350/- which made me think.
I asked a local technician to just check it once without telling him about all this. He checked it once and said it has a minor problem. He said the condenser (available for Rs.200 on order) has become weak because of which sometimes we are getting sound, otherwise it is ok. After that we used the machine twice without any problem at all.
Can you see the difference, in the name of service company guy was trying to take us for a ride, in these trying times. While the other guy who is genuine provided same service at virtually no cost at all. So request everyone to be wary of these blood suckers.
