Well, I am not an Idea subscriber but recently faced a turmoil and thought should be shared with you all.
I am using Airtel from a very long time now and must say that they are better cheats in the business with some sense at place. For recharging my prepaid connection I always use my ICICI recharge link which does the business every time -perfectly. My brother uses Idea and it happened to recharge his account on 01/12/2009. Instead of using my ICICI account I used my Kotak account. The amount of Rs.345 was debited to the account but the mobile never got recharged. Now its more than 5 months that I am chasing these people to either switch back the amount to my bank account or to recharge the mobile with the same amount but it is in vain....
The actual problem here is that the link that I used to recharge the prepaid mobile was supposed to be used for the post paid connections only. ( I admit my mistake of using a postpaid gateway to recharge a prepaid connection) Since mobile number being of a prepaid subscriber the amount never got through and is lying with Idea for such a long time now. Had called their customer care for almost 16 times for the resolution but they have no clue at all. Recently, when I called them to resolve the issue and they kept juggling the matter. This is what happens:
The concerned mobile number is a prepaid number and thus I have to use the prepaid gateway to reach the customer care. Now, the amount was charged from my account for a post paid connection and thus in this case would not be traceable by the prepaid customer care agents. (This is what they say to me when I call them – prepaid agents) Again, if I use the postpaid gateway to resolve the issue (since the amount went out for a postpaid gateway link/connection) the C care wouldn’t trace it since the concerned mobile connection is a prepaid one. I don’t understand that why these people cant trace the money no matter what the connection is?
And many a times these people say that the system is not working and requests us to call them again in some time? I don’t know who is serving whom?
Meanwhile, not fully satisfied while speaking to these educated idiots I started sending them mails. In all these mails, I have sent them the screenshots of my sensitive banking statement (as per their request to send them such information). The screenshot clearly mentions that the mobile recharge amount of Rs.345 transferred to Idea bill pay. Still in every reply they calmly say that we are in receipt of your problem and we will try to resolve the issue at the earliest. Apart from sending mails and calling their Care, I have also mailed their appellate authority too - NO RESPONSE yet. The funny part is they don’t even generate the complain number so that I can pull them further.....
I am seriously planning to get them to courts, but think is it worth for a petty amount? But even if the amount is small its hard earned and its mine and not theirs. Nowadays, it even harder to get to some human being on the other side....
Have they shared my money with AB? Sure, finally its an IDEA to defalcate money under the corporate veil....
Need your valuable inputs on this matter, till then What an idea sirjee?
