Idea- Eureka!. Review on Idea Mobile Operator

Hi there, I had been using BSNL's service (post-paid-325) for over 3 years. But in those 3 years nothing changed. Yes they keep adding new towers but it does not keep up with customer demand and their follow the leader strategy, makes them late comers everytime! The only good thing about BSNL is that they have the widest network coverage in India and that they are cheap if you are on post-paid plans. But is cheap a good substitute for network congestion? for call dropping ? for wrong message going to your friends that cell phone user is busy or switched off? To get things in perspective, 80 % of the time (between 9-am.9-pm) that I would try to make a local call, I would get network busy! while for STD it was hardly 20% of the time, was this because they make more money on STD so it is given a priority call? Now imagine the situation you are stuck somewhere and are in emergency, what are you going to do? wait for the network congestion to clear ? I don't think so! Oh yes, their GPRS service is the cheapest.....but did they tell you it doesn't work in Mumbai or Delhi, as those bases are covered by MTNL ? And you can't access GPRS on the move because most of BSNL' states (clubbed into south / north etc) have different GPRS settings? Can you believe this ? With any other provider, be it AirTel or Idea, one setting across all India. But with BSNL, hey its a different ball game! Things really got out of hand with BSNL, when in a emergency I wanted to make a call, but guess what? ''Network Busy,please try after some time! '' Why do people buy a mobile? To stay connected and get in touch when needed, so for this very basic reason (forget the wallpapers / ringtones / themes--we are not kids!), and I assume you already possess phones(with MP3/ Bluetooth /Pda functionality), where you can directly download MP3 songs from your computer, rather than pay the ridiculous amount of 20Rupees for a 20 second jingle! So I switched over to a prepaid connection from Idea called ''SUPER POWER''. What it does is , for Rs 350/- I get Talktime worth Rs 330/- straight talktime!They cut Rs 5/- everyday, if I don't make outgoing calls of 15 minute duration. What does it mean? For example, if you buy a AirTel easy charge of same denomination (Rs 350/-) you would get talktime worth 167 Rs/- only. But with Idea SuperPower, they cut only 20/Rs and thats not all, you also get double talktime validity, so instead of 30 days you get 60 days! Lets do the math, even if you don't talk for 15 minutes everyday on your cell, at the end of the month a total of Rs 150/- would get cut..right? Now look at AirTel, where they cut this amount straight up in the beginning itself (which means 50% less talktime for you!).....so I guess you have figured out how much you are losing, per month / year on buying AirTel easy recharge coupons. Oh, yes...AirTel does give you just talktime on Rs 550/- voucher, but with no validity.But why in the world would anybody, sacrifice his / her money or validity when they can get both from Idea SuperPower Prepaid connection??? This pre-paid card from Idea is for those who are heavy users like businessmen / executives / students who need to really talk and for housewives who can chat with their friends all across the neighbourhood at ultra low costs! I have suffered for 3 years at the hand of BSNL, I don't wish the same to happen to you. I don't know if your forefathers were Maharajas or you are a Prince or Princess, but if you are a middle class / upper middle class person earning money the hard way (working 14 hours a day!), and paying your taxes, then you would understand that all prepaid cards (like AirTel / Excel / Hutch / BPL) cut nearly 40% of your money on the recharge straight up, leading to a loss for you, now why in Gods name would you put up with such a service provider ? oh..is it because Sachin Tendulkar / Shah Rukh Khan or say ...a cute little Dog advertises for them??? Just remember you and I don't make that kind of salary and even if we worked like asses for the rest of our lives (which we are currenlty doing) we still would NOT earn in a decade what they earn in a month! l.o.l! . If that is not all, IDEA's prepaid sim comes with International Roaming Activation, so when you leave for that sudden vaction or business trip to Singapore / Europe /US you don't have to pay a 10k Deposit just to activate a international roaming facility! You can deactivate the same upono return with a single call!.Idea is the best blend of Good Network Coverage , Cheap Tariffs and WorldClass services as they are India's only 3G ready service provider!
