I am an erstwhile customer of IDBI bank. I eagrly joined the IDBI capital as soon as it was launched since it provided me with a easy linkage to my savings account. I have now tried it for more than one year. It is a lousy
portal. They do not send a printed copy of the contarct but email it to you. Since one requires the record for income tax of all shares brought and sold one has to print the staement. The fonts of the statements are so small that you need a magnifying glass to lok at it. I told them about this but it fell on deaf ears.
There daily update is biased towards traders and futures and options guys but retail investors like us are ignored. They do not send reviews on the policy changes etc. For example they did not bother about the P note business. I say this because Kotak securities which is trying to woo me sends me all the reports free for a trial and their coverage is excellent. If you need to buy mutual funds then they have a tie up only with few fund houses.
The portfolio feature has nothing to offer and I have to maintain a portfolio on moneycontrol.com to see my gains. The portal itself has bad features for navigation and the info for a stock which one needs to buy is limited. I can go on but for the lack of space I would just say "AVOID" at all costs. On top of that the parent IDBI bank is going downhill as far as it’s services so it is a double whammy.
