IDBI unfortunately is one of the slowest banks I have seen in operation today. I was forced to open a savings bank account there because it was required for my home loan from the same bank to be approved.


Home Loan: This took over 20 days to process after all documents were provided. Also, I had to personally visit the bank about half a dozen times to answer queries from verification department. Almost all were unnecessary questions for the bank.


Bank Account: It's been 3 years since I asked for net banking but each time I call the support team, they say please go the branch. When I go to the branch I'm given excuse and re-directed to phone banking. When I call up phone banking again, they ask me to go to branch. One even asked to me login to net banking and raise a complaint from it for not receiving net banking details. How do you do that?


Car Loan: In-spite of being an existing home loan customer, I'm told that car loan processing would take over 10 days. As I understand later, this is because the car loan team gets less commission on loans taken by existing customers.


Over all assessment: Lazy staff without proper monitoring makes our(customer's) life miserable when dealing with IDBI bank. Would never bank with them after my home loan is closed.
