I would strongly recommend ICICI Direct for those who have masochistic tendencies and those who enjoy seeing their money getting drained away. They will give you all possible attention till they get your account - you might actually start feeling that 'romance is in the air'. That feeling of deja vu is what you feel till you open the account.
Once the account is opened you will remember all the lessons you learnt in school about evaporation - the only difference is that you will see your money evaporating.
All of a sudden you see that the people who were behind you are unreachable. They will straightaway tell you that their job ends once the account is sourced.
It is more like a marriage of convenience. Once they get their dowry the bridegroom vanishes.
