Hello, All myself Jayesh Goswami,
I just share my experience with ICICI Lombard Motor Insurance Policy, which was included when I was bought my car Alto 800 Lxi through Maruti Insurance with zero-depth full insurance. And my policy number is 3001/157304088/00/000
In Jun 2019, my car was theft, I informed the Lombard Insurance company and register my theft claim(claim number MOT08860813), So after the police process, I prepared all required documents like FIR, court copy, 2nd car key, and latest insurance policy, etc. I provided all documents which the insurance company demanded, Also the Company Surveyor process was also completed.
Then after 3 months, I called and followup my insurance process, But the Insurance company person/doofus person(at Ahmedabad Office, ICICI Lombard) not give any satisfying answer and told me "give some days, we process your policy reimbursement", So I think, That Okay It may be under process. Also, I mailed to company customer care, and he/she also not give me a proper answer.
In January 2020, the Insurance company reply me that your car is found in Madhya Pradesh, police station, and your car was used in some criminal activity. I shocked and what further process and how to get back my car? Apart from this, the Insurance company told me that, this is not our responsibility. We process OD Claim If any damaged parts of your car. But When I actually visited a spot, my car's front glass was broken but Surveyor not taken that photos. So that was mismanagement or maybe escape of responsibility.
So that on the above story, After Lockdown, I personally process to release/recover my car from police and court process from MP with my expenses which approximately 30k.
Then after I Claim with OD(Own-Damaged) Claim again suggested by Lombard Company for my car damages. That is my Second Claim(OD) after Theft Claim(which resolved myself But Lombard Insurance company did not give help and not taken any responsibility, Shame on). In that second OD claim, I drop my car at the nearest service garage(Krunal Auto, Kadi, Gujarat) and requesting to Lombard to be done as soon as possible. But In that case, Surveyor does not have enough knowledge to resolved my claim process, Surveyor not visited physically(he was visited online) But Online he approved only 50 percent damages approved. I personally visited my car at the garage after discussed the garage service manager and again requested to visit/survey my car properly. Also send emails to Top management for approved my expenses which were done myself, like the Front Glass bill, other repairing costs at the spot. After complaining to the MD of ICICI Lombard they Approved my expenses bill. how disgusting.
Finally After 3 months, at end of January 2021, I received my car and suffering a 10k to 20k amount. So that is the whole my car claim process, In this Duration, Approximately 30-35 email conversation to Customercare, ServiceQualirty, Grievance, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai Top Management @icicilombard.com and also complaint to IRDA. I was also complaint to the MD of ICICI Lombard person to resolved my claim process.
To Conclude, It seems to have more Cons than Pros of ICICI Lombard Insurance service, I realised that very disappointed, Staff(Include Top Management) not Cooperative, Lack of Supportive nature and knowledge to tackle critical case like this and not give any response on phone calls(especially when I called to Ahmedabad ICICI Lombard Office). Doofus customer service manager(s) All that is involved. All in all one word disgusting.
On the Other hand, I appreciate Krunal Auto, Kadi, Gujarat which provide good service. As per my opinion, ICICI Lombard Insurance is not recommended for motor Insurance. Nowadays, Many Insurance Companies available will provide better service than ICICI Lombard Insurance.
Furthermore, I mention below details which help to anyone.
