I have been banking with ICICI for over 20 years now. Being a CA, I had been recommending several of my clients to use ICICI over HDFC and Kotak. But over the last several months, I have seen a marked shift in how ICICI bank treats its customers and a drop in service quality. It seems, making money at the cost of gullible customers has become its primary goal. Beware of its employees who are paid handsomely to sell products that you don;'t need just to make some extra bucks. They don't disclose the full details to you and sometimes even mislead you. I was sold an OD on my account though I didn't ask for it and was quietly charged upwards of 3500/- as processing fees. They won't reverse it now. Earlier, they took over 25 days to convert my inward forex into INR when the rupee depreciated. They have become highly bureaucratic in their approach. Will certainly not recommend the bank to anyone anymore.
