This bank has gone down the garbage in regards to its services and customer support both online and in the bank branches. And the relationship person does not have time to assist you or listen to the entire thing or understand it! I have been facing a lot of issues with the saving account and current account department the customer care and the branch. So here goes my story with the pathetic service and SPAM.


I have had a saving account with ICICI bank since 2018. I have had only this account till now. I have my salary credited every month, so after I had a certain amount soon after my October salary was credited, I decided to put 90% of the amount in my savings account now into a FD, which I did! I put a major amount in FD. But when I was going through the imobile app I see a new account as current account/OD Ac linked to my savings account and I saw in the passbook in the app that whatever transaction were there whether credited or debited it said "sweep to OD/Ac" or "sweep from OD Ac'.


I couldn't understand a thing. Additionally, I also saw an unauthorized debit also from OD Ac. I tried checking and I saw it was showing zero balance in my savings account and the balance in the so-called OD Ac was in negative. I contacted customer care where I was said that the OD Ac was linked to my FD and I had requested for an OD account and a Flexi FD, which I did not! When I told them I have not requested for any OD Ac for FD nor have I selected Flexi FD. Then I was connected to the OD Ac department, where I was told I had requested the OD Ac for my saving account and not the FD, again, I did not! I have never requested for any OD Ac in the first place forget about linking one to my savings account or FD! When I said that I did not request for any kind of OD Ac or any other account, a very arrogant and rude person assisting me says you have requested I have the transaction details here I told him I too have all the details and messages and the notifications and where is the application if I had requested for it he just disconnected.


I called the customer care again and got connected to the OD Ac again when I again explained the story, I was told you have used all the savings account so it is zero and now OD Ac also you used so it is negative and the amount that is showing as balance which is 1L above is given by ICICI and not your savings account amount.


This is ridiculous! When I reach out to the relationship officer he says you have used the OD Ac and you have overdrafted. Excuse me plz! Show me my application or a request ticket number or documentation for requesting this OD account! And how can I overdraft from my account when I have made a FD thinking to keep the money! He was rude too and said go to the nearest branch they will explain you.


I again called customer care and explained everything I was connected to the savings account department they said they don't know abt OD Ac but the balance is 1L above in savings account I asked him to look again if it was zero or the amount he was saying. he said thrice that it was not zero then connected me to OD Ac there they told me that OD Ac was having savings account and FD transaction link. Is this a joke or what?! and then the major unknown transactions were said to be of FD closure. What FD closure?


I then visited the ICICI branch near my location there I met the manager and explained him every single thing that had happened and then he said the OD Ac is linked to your FD, then he said no no it is linked to savings account, then he said this might be created by your employer. Seriously?! And then after an hour of explaining him, he the manager said madam you need to speak to customer care and that he doesn't know about it. When I told him that continuous 6 days of speaking to the customer care did not yield anything and that I was asked to go to the nearest branch, he then said ok madam please give me one day time. So I went to the bank again today and met the manager. He said madam I did not ask still please call tomorrow and come. Is this a joke?


ICICI bank has lost the credibility it may be once had.


I want ICICI Bank to solve this scam at the earliest, this is my hard-earned money we are talking about. It might not mean anything to the bunch of ignorant, arrogant and unknowledgeable people working at ICICI. I need a quick response. Oh, and I have also registered a complaint with the ICICI complaint department but no response. I am afraid that this bank will eat up my hard-earned money from my savings account and FD.
