I was curious when I read about ICICI Bank’s B2 savings account - A branch free savings account which can be opened completely online.
I Visited the ICICI Bank website on 05/10/2011 and completed
the online form for opening the account. It was a 3 step procedure and I completed the same in 15 minutes. I was thrilled when an account number was allotted to me online with a promise - your account will be activated in 7 working days.I could even login to the new account online immediately.
After 4 weeks, an ICICI bank representative after cancelling his appointment 7 times, finally visited my apartment and took all documents and did the address verification.Needless to say it was some local agency rep who came to do this.
10 emails to ICICI bank( via the B2 account for which I received the login ID on day 1) are still unanswered.On 11/11/2011 I finally receive an SMS that a representative of ICICI Bank will again contact me to take documents.
I have today responded via the b2 online platform, details of which need to be censored hence not re-produced here. Account Closed via internet.
