The iBall strings 20 is an over ear headphone with mic in the Lor gold series which Iball markets as premium, I bought this product specially because I got an amazing deal on an online shopping site and currently it serves as my primary headset for use with laptop.
Coming to basic specs it is an over ear headphone but the size is such that it doesn't cover the whole ear but sits over it. It has adjustable size setting. It is a stereo headset that offers amazing bass and also awesome sound clarity. It has one of the best sound quality in the price range . It also has a mic but as my laptop has only audio out 3.5 mm jack and uses the inbuilt mic always I haven't had the chance to test it.
The pros of the product include the amazing sound quality, the chord length at 2m is more than sufficient. The product looks good and classy and even though the material looks a bit brittle, the product has lasted with even rough use.
But if we dont consider the price point it has a lot of cons too. Main is with comfort. As I mentioned as the product doesn't cover the whole ear and doesnt provide a snug fit, it can be a bit irritating in long use. Another is the padding. The padding has cushion inside with leather like outer. This outer weathers easily and the sponge is exposed, which doesn't feel that good and absorbs moisture. Also the overall built quality for a product marketed as premium is not that good, especially the outer materials used.
The usp of the product is the sound quality it provides at this price range and just for this the product is a great buy. Even though mrp list it at 1k., easily available for under 700 and only buy the product under this price.
