I have no one to blame but myself . You see I was asking for it when I rented out this movie, cos havin seen '' I know what u did last summer'' , I should have known what to expect from its sequel.
The movie is a waste of money and time and god knows what else.
There is a lot of yelling and screaming, blood splattered everywhere, and incessant rain! and hey presto, we have a movie ( at least that seems to be the director's idea of a horror/ thriller flick ! )
Im listing out here, what seem to be the universal rules being followed by all wanna- be -directors of wanna-be- thriller/horror movies .
- The central characters have gotta be as dumb as possible. Cos if u do exercise any common sense then u wouldnt get into any scary situations in the first place !
In '' I still know...'' , one of the stupid friends, enters a tele-quiz contest to win a trip for four to the bahamas. The final question....''the capital of Brazil ? ''. She screams out a confident ''Rio de Janeiro''. Of course she wins and they all excitedly set off.
Apparently no one in the gang has even a basic knowledge of geography. Sigh!
If u hear a blood curling scream or a strange noise , u are to go to investigate it all alone. Better still, the entire group should split and go in different directions. That makes it easier for the prowling blood thirsty dark guy to dispose of each of you.
Always travel at night and if there's a thunderstorm brewing up then... Splendid !!
If u are going to spend the night somewhere remember, there must always be either a run down castle or a graveyard close by.
Once inside, always creep up on ur friends from behind, just to give them a lil scream practise before the actual scares begin .
There has to be as much blood as possible. The blood thirsty guy may have a motive to kill, but slashing viciously at everyone who comes in his way, makes for better viewing pleasure.
The killers in '' I still know...'' are avenging the death of his brother/son , but he seems to have forgotten that, and goes on a killing spree , striking down everyone in sight.
- You can bury the killer, shoot him, drown him, but he still wont die....he'll reappear in the sequel.
Im just hopin there wont be a '' I continue to know what you did last summer'' .......
