I wish to inform you that I and my wife are serving in Armed Forces and we have booked Hyundai Creta 1.5 SX(O) IVT Petrol from Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar in the name of my wife Capt Rashmi Chaturvedi. (Booking Details attached).
The Agency/Dealership(Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar) on being asked about the insurance of the said vehicle tried to conceal the facts and mislead me by telling that as per company norms it is mandatory to take first insurance of new vehicle from the dealership only, but the same was not found true while discussing the matter with Ms. Swati Das(Hyundai Sales Customer Care Executive Delhi-NCR) and Ms. Keerat(CRM of Novelty Hyundai Amritsar).
Since I have booked the vehicle, I am running after Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar for getting the Insurance Quotation of my vehicle Hyundai Creta 1.5 SX(O) IVT Petrol but there is always a bureaucratic response and in that they told me that insurance cost can be told at the time of billing, which appears to be misleading. Nevertheless, I asked Dealership(Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar) to provide an approximate cost of said insurance but the same has not been provided to me despite repetitive reminders for one month for the reason best known to the dealership. Also, the dealership is providing very limited insurance plans(namely of liberty and Kotak Mahindra).
I further wish to inform you that the subject Dealership(Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar) is also trying to sell me accessories forcibly which I have never demanded. How can subject Dealership(Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar) sell me accessories which I have never demanded and if the subject Dealership(Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar) feels that I have demanded any such accessories or agreed upon any such thing with them then they are requested to provide the written proof for the same.
I also wish to inform you that I wanted to meet concerned salesperson of Subject Dealership(Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar) personally for discussing things in detail on 26 June 2020 and I informed him before my arrival to which he agreed but sadly he was not available and didn't even bother to inform me that he will not be available for the reasons best known to him.
Further Concealment of facts and misleading information given by Subject Dealership(Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar) puts a question on their integrity and it also appears that the subject dealership wants to cheat their customers.
Above mentioned concern and facts were also presented during my conversation over a conference call with Ms. Swati Das, Ms. Laxmi(Hyundai Sales Customer Care Executive Delhi-NCR) and Ms. Keerat(CRM of Novelty Hyundai Amritsar) of date 12 Aug 2020.
It appears that Subject Dealership(Novelty Hyundai Court Road Amritsar) is grossly violating the guidelines of the Competition Commission of India(CCI), IRDAI, and Consumer Protection Act 2019 by citing that getting insurance and accessories from Dealership is mandatory.
