The first time I saw previews of Hustle and Flow on TV I wanted to watch it. My son rented it and he and his friends really liked it and they don't get excited about too many movies. When I finally sat down to watch it I got about half way through it and thought that it wasn't what I expected. I stopped it and left it still in the dvd
player for a few days. From the first part I just couldn't understand why it was given all the good reviews. My son talked me into going back and watching the rest of the movie. That was a good thing! It was a gritty, sweaty, and very real story about a group of people that just wouldn't give up. They didn't have the money or the breaks that a lot of people in the entertainment industry had. The song that
won the Academy award said it all, it's hard for a pimp. I have it rented for this weekend and will be watching it for the 4th time, time well spent.
