Exactly 7 years ago, on the 14th January 2000, the biggest hit of 2000 released, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, and it created a mania that is prevalent even today, Hrithik Mania. Hrithik Roshan became an overnight star with this film, and his fan power increased.
Hrithik is now 33, born on the 10th January 1974. He was 26 when his first film released and now he has become the highest paid actor. In India, he is a superstar. In the words of Salman Khan himself, 'he is the best we have in Bollywood.'
Hrithik is definitely the most versatile actor in Bollywood. In Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, he played tow different shades as a lover boy. In Fiza and Mission Kashmir, he played a terrorist with ease and he showed flashes of anger which shows how good he is. In Koi Mil Gaya, he played the role of a mentally challeneged young man, which is a role every actor needs, and perhaps only someone with Hrithik's acting abilities can pull off. He was faboulous, explaining why he won all Best Actor awards that year and Critics awards. In Lakshya he showed the magic of Koi Mil Gaya, playing a confused man who does not have any lakshya(aim) in life. He blew me away in this film. In Krrish, he played a super-hero and a villager with ease. He was just magical. In Dhoom 2, he played a super-villian, which was the most popular character of 2006.
Who is the best dancer in Bollywood? The answer is Hrithik Roshan, without a shadow of a doubt. No other actor/actress comes close to him in dancing. He showed that he is the best dancer in his first film. Dil Ne Dil Ko Pukara and of course Ek Pal Ka Jeena showed his dancing skills. In Mission Kashmir, Rind Posh Maal. There are more, Jab Dil Mile, You Are My Sonia, It's Magic, Idhar Chala, Main Aisa Kyon Hoon, Dil Na Diya, Dil Laga Na and Dhoom Again. Of course everyone knows that whenever he comes on stage to perform one of his songs, the crowd just goes into raptures specially when he does his Ek Pal Ka Jeena moves.
He gets along with everyone in the industry, a rarity in Bollywood. He has been given the tag of the'nice boy of Bollwood'. He is a perfectionist. For Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, he learned diving. For Koi Mil Gaya, he lost muscle to look like a mentally challenged man. For Lakshya, he got special training from the Army. For Krrish, he gained muscle and learned martial arts. For Dhoom 2, he learned extreme sports. For Akbar-Jodha, he has learned how to ride a horse among other things. This shows his commitment to his work. I doubt any other actor would show this much commitment.
