I bought this laptop on 26th of August 2014. I had a low budget so I chose this model. Firstly, there is only one thing in this laptop that is it comes with pre-installed windows 8.1 single language given by HP. Rest it has nothing.
PROBLEMS I FACED:- 1) After a month of purchasing, the number key 5 right above the alphabetic keypad was not working. I informed HP customer support and after 4 days a technician from HP came and changed my whole keyboard.
2) After about five months, one day suddenly the hard disk of my laptop crashed. I again called HP Customer Support and they made me generate an error code that I did by pausing the start up by pressing the ESC key and chose Diagnostics. There I performed a hard disk check and it gave an error. They noted the error code and took a request for changing the HDD. After about five days another technician came from HP and changed my HDD. It was a 500GB HDD so I lost all of my valuable data as I did not have an external storage to keep a back up. HP also provided me with a recovery media to install WIN 8.1 again to my new hard drive. I paid Rs 604.80 for that recovery media. It took almost 7 hours to re-instal windows with all needed applications.
3) After 11 months a small white dot appeared on my laptop screen. That was a dead pixel. After some days I saw more dead pixels and now I have a total of three dead pixels of my laptop screen. When I informed HP customer support, they asked for photos of screen. When I gave the pictures of screen they said they can take a request to change the LED screen only if it has five or more dead pixels.
4) It has ATA HDD that is slower than SATA. Also it takes a lot time to respond to your click whether you want to play any song, video or want to open an app like browser games or anything.
Now I am still running on this laptop. After that I haven't faced any major problem and I don't want to as the warranty is over.
I hope this will help all to buy their best product within budget
