Located right in front of the IIT main gate and easily spottable on the JVLR,
This place has been the house of regular customers for over a decade that vary from IIT students looking for cheap eats and drinks to the IT guys working in Powai and looking for a little lack-lusture affect on the pocket. The place is the run of the mill standard Mumbai lunch house that are spread across but still maintains a great standard in their food served.
The place opens up early and is open almost all the time. have seen them taking last orders for 2 hrs between 12-2 AM:). The location is not ideal in case you are looking for parking near-by but hard to miss as is centrally located. Has seperate sections for family and drinking, the food spreads across Indian, Punjabi, Maharastrian, Chinese, South Indian and a variety of snacks and some innovations that will be great at the price they come.
PS: This is a pure veg place, and yes Egg is counted in Non-veg here and thus not served.
The staff is very professional and the service time/quality is just magic. Be selective on the food that you order, quantities are going to be a major headache with leftovers as they are very generous when it comes to serving. With a variety to offer in terms of the dishes, the place also stocks snacks from all the variations and juice station that can shop anything in less than 5 mins to ur table of placing the order. Have been to this place at the busiest hours and it can get loud but then what else do you expect from the place that is becoming a legacy in a way.
