Hello

I bought a Honda DIO after a lot of consideration. There were two contenders mainly Honda's own ACTIVA and the kinetic's Nova 115cc.wat do college going students need a bike which gets of the line as fast as possible, the best looking bike in the market to take your girlfriend around(other than the pulser), which give you reasonable milage so it does't guzzle down your allowance money.

well in the other reviews you would have already read the specifications of the bikes. I am not going to tell you all that again. The pick up of both the activa and the DIO is superb but the nova is a bit sluggish at the start but picks up when you reach 20kpl. If you compare the activa and the DIO, the DIO win by a small margin because of it fiber body. Now kinetic has come out with an upgrade version of the nova, not a big difference only a little engine upgrade it is now 135cc for the old 115cc as a result gives out more BHP and get of the line faster.

Ever tried racing a DIO and a pulser well I have here are the results the DIO pick up was great till the pulser reached 2nd gear then I was no way in the picture but for that time I was pretty proud for that time. Looks are great I think it is the best look non geared bike in the market.Honda played it safe with the activa because the did not want there first launch to fail. But they went all out with the DIO there is no cut out of place and with the head light on the body makes it look even better. If you are going for it go for the black colour the only bad thing is that it get dirty fast.

Parts are NOT cheap specially the engine parts the other day I had parked the bike in the market and it was hit a autorickshaw nearly 50% of the engine was damaged so took it to the dealer to get it repaired. The whole body was changed, the carrburator, and some engine parts the bill came to 17,530. but no loss to me since insurance covered it. It was suppose to but still have not received the cheque which I was suppose to have received a week ago.

Ride quality is good the bike is stable at high speeds only thing it is shaped downwards so if you press the brakes the person behind will slide towards you, the foot rests are totally unconfortable for the pillion rider, suspension is the same in all bikes in this catergory you can get it ajusted at your nearest dealer .

Mileage is not bad I get 40 in cities and around 52 on highways which I think is pretty good for a non geared bike that is after all the servicings, used only BP petrol. The space under the seat is not bad, can fit a helmet but with it nothing else will go if you want space go for a eterno.

This is perfect bike for college students its got everything and if you do a little stickering it looks superb I would suggest this bike for the young at heart and the activa for the older age group and the nova for nobody.
