I have bought this beauty second hand after a loooooong research(no. of Os represent the time I spent:P). The research includes checking, testing, inspecting and test driving of many vehicles. I am an automotive enthusiast and I like to drive each and every car may it be a maruti or a mercedez(though I haven't driven one:P). I had a 2003 maruti alto std(no AC:(). So decided to get an upgrade. I have driven almost 10 honda citys in the process of buying my car. I specially have a liking towards the Dolphin model or the 10th anniversary model(2003-2008). I had to check upon lot of things while buying it like the papers, genuine odometer, suspension, service record, etc. So finally I bought this car and drove back home while driving it back home I thought of giving it some revs and wanted to how much power it has under the hood. I switched off the AC and kept revving it in second and third gears upto 80-100. Still it had lot of power left and I couldnt get the free way to test it more. During this process I could see the fuel reading going down very fast:P .
After I got the car there were some issues with it like the power windows of driver side was not working properly and the hand brake was too lose, but I was living with it as I didnt want to go to the service center for small issues. Then on one day I went out with my family and there it did not start. All the electricals were working fine but it didnt take the self ignition. We started it by pushing then I took it to the service center and told them all these issues.
The self wasnt working as the battery was dying and had to be replaced. But to my surprise the power windows button couldnt be replaced but it would be replaced as the whole unit of buttons which costed a whopping 9000/- . I decided to live with the problem rather than burning a hole in my pocket. I was charged reasonably for the battery but the spares are really really costly in honda.
