So having driven Hyundai accent for 5 years, I was planning to upgrade to a bigger car and for some resons, city was nowhere into considerations. Mind was utterly confused and right from XUV, DUster to Jetta, Elantra, AltisJ were tried, test driven multiple times. This continued between jan 2013 and April 2013. One day I went to Honda showroom for taking a test drive of Civic and I came to know that civic is discontinued by honda. The sales person started pitching for city - the ultimate luxurious sedan in India(!) and tried to prove that the sedans cabin space is as good as that of altis.

I when looked at this car again( again. cos so many of my colleagues have this car or the earlier models with them) and was convinced with the fact that its a specious car indeed. The Sales Exec kept on telling me that no one now a days is preferring the segment I am looking at and either they go to the SUV or they buy city or a vento or a verna. I then went to VW and test drove vento petrol and then went to Skoda drove vento's twin as well. Both of them felt good but the drive of city was much richer in feel and smoother as well. Next was verna and its floor noise immediately put me off.

In fact, I was now planning to explore a non-hyudai product this time as well. So after adding enough confusing elements, I tuned towards XUV and duster again.test drove both of them.one being too heavy on clutch and second being too basic+cramped decided to get back to sedan only and then thought of selecting either city or vento. Test drove them again and then decided to go for the city for its comfort, space and then recommendations from its users as well. Have bought V MT titanium a few days back and I am happy for the decision that I made.

One family trip of about 400 kms last week end was a nice experience as the AC proved to be very effective in this hot gujarat summer. The driver's seating position is quite good, visibility is nice, steering is nicely balanced both at lower speeds and at speed around 80. Suspensions are also good. handling is far better than my old accent and space is fantastic( sorry for repeating.!). Cruise control, steering mounted audio control etc are convinient. Boot space is amazingly big. for which I did not have an idea earlier. Engine, Clutch as well as Gear Box.all these are honda( I meant .very smooth .!). Pick up is good.both in mid-range and at low speeds. At around 600 kms on odo, it shows 16, 4Kmpl as an avg / litre of petrol. Storage space is good as well in the cabin.

What is little annoying is that loose carpet on floor.comes up easily when u want to remove the mats. Workmanship is good as well. All in all, at around 10L, I feel I have got a fine family car which is a blend of comfort, performance and style.all of them adequately mixed up to make a good value for money car with a strong brand. Additional comments: It has been almost a year now and the city continues to give joy to the family and especially me. It remains smooth, agile and nice to drive car. Delaler at Ahmedbabad - Landmark has been remarkable in terms of service, timeliness and cleanliness. Am planning to get a pioneer touchscreen system placed in place of the stock music system.

Several long drives in past few months and it has continued to provide great driving experience. Mileage remains at around 18 to 19 on highway at a speed of 80-90 with Ac on and in city it returns 11 to 12. Driving in ECO zone really proves to be efficient one.!( ECO in green lits up when you are driving optimally according to the program of the ECU.!). In all, I feel that the decision to buy a honda city as against earlier plans of XUV or a duster or an altis or an elantra( sorry for this endless list.!) continues till date to be a better decision.

One more thing, the dealer has got its tie up with ICICI Lombard and offers nice discounts to the renewal of the insurance policy.
