I have been owning a Honda Activa scooter since Dec 2003.
Earlier was riding a Kinetic Honda scooter and decided to switch over to Honda Activa.The initial Euphoria of owning a Honda Activa faded once scooter started giving starting problem. Without the choke on it is next to impossible to start the scooter and the choke has to be open for 1 km of initial ride.
From Dec 03 to Jan 04 the scooter gave an average of 25 KMPL and now it gives 33 KMPL much below the expected 50 KMPL. With increasing cost of Petrol it is a disadvantage to own a Honda Activa. The Sound from Horn is inferior and hence had to replace the horn. Unlike Kinetic Nova the Honda company does not provide any free accesories.The Dealer charges a fortune for the accesories and hence buy from outside. But never buy a Dio as it is extremely uncomfortable for the pillion rider.
The ride comfort is excellent but starting problem is a deterrent to own this vehicle. Kinetic Nova's under seat storage is almost twice of Honda Activa.
So, better think twice before owning a Honda Activa
