From last one year we are visiting the @home store situated in Koramangala,Bangalore for the interior of our new apartment. This belongs to the Nilkamal Ltd, and I have visited two stores of them till now. I prefer the Koramangala branch as it is near my house.
For the first time I got attracted to the ad of this store showing up to Rs. 30000 cash back offer. Well,that sounds tempting! But one thing is there,you have to be cautious to select your desired items. I never made the mistake of buying unnecessary items,but once you enter the store surely you will get very much tempted to do so.
Let's start the description from the top floor,according to the priorities. The 4th floor which is the topmost, contains Bedroom furnitures. One can see the wide varieties of bedroom collection,starting from furniture to soft furnishing,from linens to decorative craft-pieces. From this we got various ideas of decorating our bedrooms. Not only a delight for your eyes,but the interior designer in you will also appreciate these,I should say! There are few featured bedroom sets: A King size bed,night stands,dresser,wardrobes, a recliner,sometimes with curtain sets and artifacts, sometimes with a cozy TV table, there are actually a plenty of options. The range is also affordable,and the beds usually come with the linen storage cabinets too.
Explore and come down to the Third floor. It contains living room and dining room ideas.There are beautiful sofa sets,along with center tables and corner tables. Leather and fabric,both types of sofas are present.The range starts from 35000,I can remember. I Rajeev_Vermacially love the corner sofas,starting from 21000. Glass-top center tables are really worth buying,recently I bought one. At the backside of the store there are dining sets,both 4 seater and 6 seater. Glass top tables get preferences over the wooden tops,but we went for a wooden top walnut 4 seater,as the usage is minimal. There are Nilkamal chairs,plastic sofa sets,which actually look cute! Bean bags are also available at this place,starting from some 1900.
Arrive at the second floor,the final destination for the kids' furnitures,bar counters, more sofa sets and storage cabinets. The collection is literally huge,and you get plenty of options. We decorated our living -cum-dining room according to one of these rooms we saw here. Storage counters ranges from kitchen store to shoe storage. The absolute delight is the kids' furniture. I would definitely buy the toy-train shaped bunk bed if I was a kid! Baby chairs and feeding tables are decorated with cartoon characters which no kid can resist,I saw one kid of some 3 yrs asking her parents to buy one of that for her! The bar-counters can be fitted well into small space also,and chairs are quite comfortable.
The first floor contains soft furnishing and lamps. Carpets are available here,a bit overpriced but quality is far superior than other places. Wide range of curtains,table clothes, laundry-bags, Cushions,pillows, sofa covers,bed-linens.......... what not! But at this floor I found things quite expensive compared to other stores. Table lamps and corner lamps are also available,but I didn't want one so didn't pay much attention.
At the ground floor you will find crockeries, cutleries, wall shelves, garden chairs, photo frames, paintings, wall clocks and various other home decorations. Dinner sets are available here,along with glasswares. We didn't find Corelle sets,so finally bought that from outside. Paintings are quite good,and generally have discounts. We ended up buying 3-4 of them. Artificial flowers are quite good,but price is high! This floor contains the billing counter,once you are satisfied with you purchase,get them billed and return home happily.
Finance options are also available. If your purchase is over 25000,you can convert in into EMI starting from Rs. 1999 with a minimal processing fee. Well,If your purchase in furniture section is over 10000, you are entitled for a 1000 Rs. discount coupon again, which you can redeem at your next purchase. We didn't only get nice discounts,but also these redemption coupons. Most of our furnitures are from this store,which was delivered to us at no extra cost,that also within one week. Till now we didn't get any chance to complain about the quality of these furnitures. The carpet we bought here is the best one we have. The after-sales service is also good,installation is done by their carpenters who know their work well. The only major drawback is it's quite expensive for some people who want the deal very much pocket friendly. The staff members are not too friendly,but they are quite efficient. Overall,I will rate this store 4.5 out of 5. My next shipment of few more furnitures are being delivered on this weekend,I hope @home keeps the promise of better services this time also.
