Hello All,
This is Ranvijay Singh and on 14th of June 2018, I was blessed with a Baby Girl in Holy Family Hospital(Patient Registration ID, My Wife: G/8 019636.
# Note this is nowhere a Public Hospital
But before that please keep in mind this hospital got some delivery packages named,
A. Premium Packages: DR/PR/SPR/NSB/ - For couples who can afford up to 5 lacs of rupees(Bills are on their wheels, you can't imagine how it may shoot up)
B. Economy Packages: SB(Intentionally misrepresented as Subsidised) - For those who may afford up to INR 50000(Please be informed as it may also shoot up to INR 1 Lac based on several risk conditions and respective treatments guided by the commissioned staffs(Sorry but I am writing what I felt).
Here are my few Yes and No for getting Pregnancy treatment in HFH(Holy Family Hospital).
1.There is nobody except you couples who might be available during Labour Days: Big NO
Reason: Prior to admission you are not guided about attendants allowed, timings, passes etc. But once you are confined, you need to follow the rules else you may be man held or misbehaved by either the security staffs or the hired Bouncers.
-> No Male attendants allowed in SB ward after 7 PM
2.Planning a Normal Delivery: BIG NO
Reason: Since the time my wife started visiting HFH, she had a cystocele and the OB & Gynae suggested that we will keep it observing and probably remove it after delivery.
Two weeks prior to her EDD, they created a panic situation saying she got unstable pulse rates and heartbeat hence she needs to get admitted ASAP to get some tests done else it may result into bad outcomes at the time of delivery.
I got her admitted for a day and the next day they billed me around INR 7000 and told everything is fine now.
On 13th June(her scheduled OB/Gynae visit), she was told to get admitted again to do the LSCS(cesarean) as the normal delivery is not possible because of the Cystocele. See earlier they told that it will be taken care after delivery, then they tried new excuse of pulse rates and heartbeats.
Finally, they made us frightened of the results of excessive bleeding, ruptured urethra etc.
Story cut short, Out of 10 deliveries, 8 deliveries are performed through Cesarean here. Sometimes you will find no beds available if you don't go for this.
3.Billing Issues: Big No Again
Reason: The packages rates shown to you doing early booking days(15-20 days prior to Labour) will automatically be surged during your admission and may go up to an extent you can't even imagine.
You are provided with Invoices that carries Item names and charges only, you can't ask for Itemised bill as you are under SB Package.
Baby Charges up to INR 6000(If the baby is normal else it may go up to INR 60000).
Yes to all who really got extra money and don't bother how they are being charged.
STAY AWAY. You are admitted on their will and can be kicked out whenever they want. Its like paying to be insulted here.
