I downloaded Hike messenger few months ago. I find its design and user interface good over Whatsapp messenger which is most popular chat app nowadays. In hike you may find lots of features like Chat theme, Free calls and SMSs, Offers/Coupons and News updates, Hike direct etc.
What I like in Hike is,
You can different and unique change chat theme for individual contacts. Also there are lots of free stickers available and also you can buy new stickers whenever you want. Stickers are just like emojis, for different occasions. I like'Nudge" feature a lot to instantly ping someone. Emojis are animated, which looks cool. Hike direct feature help you to send large size of file instantly via WI-FI to other Hike user who is in near by location. Call quality is decent. You can choose whether you want to compress your file size or not while sending image/videos.
Now there is some -ve points too.
It consumes lots of data while background syncing as compare to Whatsapp messenger. Its depends how many service you have activated like news, daily quotes and cricket updates. Good thing is that you can disable it. Sometimes, You'll notice slight lag while using. User Interface is not light and easy to use for new comers, You need to spend some time to discover new features.
Overall, Its good option to those who want some more while chatting with their friends or loved ones. I use both Whatsapp and Hike messenger. And Finally, Hike is Made In India, by the Indians, For the Indians.
