Till 2006 I am using this Bike. Its good. On Road Price in Mumbai was Rs. 46, 000/- since I gave full payment while purchasing. Maintenance cost is, say about Rs. 500/- per year. I give the bike for servicing and changing oil to local mechanic. Petrol expenditure are, say about Rs. 5000/- per year. I have to travel nearby places, say within the span of 15-20 kilometers. Therefore, this bike is good for me.
I am living at Mumbai. It is an island city. Therefore, atmosphere is quiet humid. Metals get rusted in this type of atmosphere. In January 2011 I have noticed that some parts of my bike have started rusting(especially metal parts near ground). I simply apply polish paper on the rusted parts and painted it with black colour.
Checking battery after every 3 months is necessary. From a nearby "Exide" service center this work can be done. Battery checking and servicing do not cost too much(Maximum Rs. 100/-). Changing battery is little-bit expensive. New Exide battery for this bike costs Rs. 750/-(July 2011 price).
Otherwise I have no problem with this bike. A very good product. Reliable product. Only minor 3-4 repairing in last 5 years.
