Hie friends, this is my first ever review on any site. I have been reading reviews of motorcyles and scooters and gathering information from all the possible means. This was initially because I wanted to purchase a bike and that was TVS Victor. Any way I went through all the sites and magazines and got confused which bike to buy.
Confusions were, 1) hero honda most trusted name but splendour/passion under power and power rear break (110 mm), 2) Freedom, cc a good bike with 110cc engine but LML yet to prove its reliability in motorcycles 3) TVS Victor, 110 cc - a good bike with good mileage but found most of the people complaining its starting problem, 4) Calliber 115 - a good bike, less priced with 115 CC engine but the image of Bajaj in the minds of customer is not very reliable and last kinetic boss 115 - looks were not so good (kinetic valocity was not introduced at that time).
Any way, I was feared, since I had never driven the motorcycle and I was not willing to put my money blindly on any bike, I opted for hero honda and during those days, hero honda came out with passion plus with 9 fantastic colours. I purchased Passion Plus knowing that it has less power and is over priced compared to all the other motorcyles be it LML Freedom, or TVS Victor, or Calliber 115, Kinetic Velocity/Boss and Wind 125. I purchased the bike from Auto Need in Gurgaon and paid on Road approx. 44500/- which was approximately 1000 - 4000 higher than the other bikes.
They style of the bike as has been said by everyone is best and every other company has been trying to copy this. Front and the rear lamp are unbeatable.
New features in the passion plus, which have been added are, MRF Zapper tyres, Helogen lamp, 130 mm rear drum break (it was 110 mm earlier), Aluminium Grip.
But guys beware that all these features are already there in all the other premium bikes which I have mentioned above. So you can say nothing is plus.
In last 8 months I have driven 2500 kms. I everyday take bike from home to bus stand (3.5 kms only) and back in the evening. Have done three services.
Mileage--intial, 45 After first service/Second Service 48/49 After Third Service - 55. But you cant trust as the mileage as during this stretch of 3.5 kms I have 11 turns and I have to change the gear everytime and ride on 2nd and 3rd gear most of the time. So I believe 55 kms is the best anybike would give and I am happy about the mileage and I hope it should give atleast 65-70 on the highways easily.
